Q: Where Can I get cheap pain medication? Without a prescription. I have back problesms.?

A: Don’t use any medicine without prescription

Q: Is it true that a small cheap mobile clinic dose not give pain medication to the animal for the spay/neuter?
Is this true and why don’t they that must cause the animal horrible pain.i just found this out like 5 minutes ago.I was told that that’s why the small cheap clinics are so cheap because they don’t administer pain meds for the surgery! I am not taking my animal to one they go to actual vets but this is horrible to know that thousands of people get there pet spay/neuter at one of these cheap clinics every year and that they don’t even know!

A: I think this may be a case of Chinese whispers.

Small, cheap clinics often don’t provide pain medication for the owners to take home, unlike vets who will provide the medication to take home.

The animals are still put to sleep for the operation, they’re still given pain relief during the operation- they’re just not given anything to go home with. Studies have shown the animal doesn’t actually need pain meds and make just as good a recovery without pain meds taken after the surgery, as long as the owners prevent certain things like jumping and keep an eye on the incisions.

Q: My sister has ulcerative colitis and cannot afford medication, now she is in extreme pain?
does anyone knows about cheap medication use to treat ulcerative colitis, she is only 19 years old, iulcerative colitis medication I’m so worried about her and she doesn’t do anything to help herself.

A: Nowadays, most pharmaceutical companies offer help to people who can’t afford their medications. Your sister will need her doctor’s help to set this up, however, because the doctor will need to fax copies of the prescription and such to whoever gives the assistance. Call her doctor and talk to the nurse about prescription assistance. You’ll need proof of income for your sister, and since she is over 18, she’ll have to be willing to do this or there’s really nothing you can do. Maybe if you made some calls for her and got some information, she’d be more willing to jump in and help herself. Hope I was able to help – good luck to you both.

P.S. – You’re a good sister to worry about her – she’s lucky to have you! :)

Q: I have a problem with a very mild pain medication called ultram/tramadol, I like 15 pills a day that are 50 mg?
I don’t care for heavy pain medications like hydrocodone, percocets, oxicotin. All of those heavy medications only give me a very slight fake feeling of happiness for 3 1/2 hours, and then I get really depressed.

Ultram in large amounts does not contain the dangerous ingredient acetaminophen like the other pain pills that I mentioned. But I do not believe ultram/tramadol is healthy for a persons kidneys and liver, and probaly other areas of the body. But ultram lasts much longer for me, and it is much easier to get a doctor to prescribe. Now for the problem, I run out of ultram for at least a week and a half out of the month or more. During that time I often feel like doing nothing but sleep, but after a couple days, sometimes three, I snap out of it. But then I get my ultram filled again. I don’t act out of control or make irrational desicions like with alcohol or other substance abuse. I do see this as a problem for me though. But I love the extra energy when I have ultram in my system. I chew the pills all at a single time, once per day.

Do I continue this weird cycle? It’s too easy to get them, and they are cheap. But right now it is a little past 4 pm and I feel like going to sleep because I haven’t had my ultram in a couple days. Am I the only moron that likes a jolt of energy that doesn’t make me lose my self control and do foolish things like alcohol? But I do not like the down time? Why do I do this?
And I am so sick of being reported when I ask questions that are honest, serious, and from my heart.

A: people are so stupid for reporting this.

but to answer your q, yes, you will continue this cycle until you wean yourself down of of these “non” opiate pain killers….they are extremely addicting, im only 17 and was in a bad car accident and was prescribed these, i was taking 4 a day, and i stopped taking them and went through hell for about a month…i would try and slowly decrese your dose until you can quit taking them. they do make you very happy, and thats what makes it so hard when you dont have them.

Q: pain medication question?
my doctor is a complete jackass, i told him i started having back pain back in august, asked for an x ray, he said he wanted to wait, finally just recently got an xray showing i have a narrowed vertebrae, the doc didnt even remember about my xray until i told him, im stuck with this doctor because i have no insurance and i was assigned him through my county, all in all hes prescribed me flexeril, baclofen, tramadol, motrin 800 and neurontin, NONE of which works at all, he gave me a 10 pill script of vicodin after i got a seizure from tramadol, vicodin worked quite well but since then he hasnt done anything for me, and the pain just keeps getting worse, he ordered a ct scan but thats another month or 2 away, im so annoyed by this situation that i decided maybe i should buy my meds online or see a pain specialist, i dont know which is cheaper, probably online meds but since i dont have insurance i would imagine that a pain specialist would be way too expensive, id just like to get some feedback if possible
thanks
hmm spinal stenosis, from the symptoms ive researched i dont know if thats whats wrong, maybe i havent reached that point yet to where it is spinal stenosis but im still hurting, the pain though definately hurts in my lower back and the top of my spine which gives me constant headaches

A: I feel for you and feel your frustration. I have a bad back as well and had went through pretty much the same thing as you. My situation was work related though. But never the less I was sent to doctors that didn’t give a darn and they fooled around for four years, by that time I had to have two back surgeries.

I also had narrowed vertebrae, which is better known as (spinal stenosis) narrowing of the spine that causes back pain. Sometimes with this you may develop spasms that cause you to jerk, which doesn’t help with the pain. I see he has you on baclofen and neurontin. Just so you know, both of those meds are for controlling spasms. Once you are on neurontin you can’t just stop taking them or you can have withdraws. I was takening neurontin for a while, but the cost of those things were out of sight, so I was taken off them slowly and was given baclofen. I was also on flexeril for pain, that med wasn’t worth a darn, didn’t help at all. Ask your doctor to try darvocet. All that other stuff he has you taking is uncalled for. I would suggest that you go see a pain specialist.

Q: What is the most evil and heartless action an HMO ever taken?
So far, the most evil action I heard about an HMO doing is prescribing pain medication instead of paying for cancer treatment because the pain medication was cheaper. Have you heard anything worse?

A: HMOs don’t prescribe treatment. Doctors do.
A doctor can order anything … but the HMO doesn’t have to pay for it.
If your insurance doesn’t cover a life-saving treatment, does that mean you don’t get it? I’d find a way to pay for it myself.

Q: Will the ER give me pain medication if the dentist broke my tooth?
I went to a “clinic” dentist today because I don’t have insurance and I needed the cheapest route possible. Well this doctor couldn’t pull my tooth out he broke it where theres nothing visibly left but a bloody hole. But, theres still tooth down in my jaw. I’ve had 4 teeth pulled before and vicodin has worked more than fine in the past.
I have to go to the oral surgeon in the morning to get whats left of it out but I’m wondering can I go the ER and get something stronger I’ve already taken 4 vics in the last 3 hours. What should I do please help?

A: If you go to the ER and “scream bloody hell”, say you simply cannot take this severe pain any longer, they MIGHT give you a shot of something powerful. But it’s a one time thing. I’ve done it, so I know!

Q: Best medication for P.A.D.?
Is any body being treated for Peripheral Artery Disease ? I used trental but my legs developed worse pain and it was not a cheap medication either. I was helping somebody could recommend a different drug that decreases the viscosity of blood. And does pletal help reduce the symptoms too if used with these drugs?

A: You might try an antiplatelet drug like a baby aspirin, and if that does not work adding dipyridamole, each drug is cheap and works well with minimal side effect risk. Plavix is probably no better than an aspirin and much more expensive with more serious risks.

Still, even with treatment, your doctor might have to do more to treat your condition.

Q: pain issues?
So my mom fell at her work two years ago and messed up her hip. She has had tons of test done and nothing has worked! She had to stop taking her pain medication, yet still is overwhelmed with the pain! What is an all natural, cheap way or home remedy to releave her pain? I can’t watch her live like this anymore please help!

The pain is mainly in her hip area but sometimes she complains that her whole right side hurts!

She is 41 if that helps

A: It is not always a good idea to take medication for chronic pain. If the medication is masking a serious injury, a proper diagnosis may be problematical.

What CAN work is specific medications for specific conditions. In other words, medication for some kinds of joint pain will not be best for an actual bone fracture. It takes an entirely different family of analgesics for nerve pain. (analogy: putting a blanket over someone with fever chills may make them feel better, but it does nothing to reduce the fever)

Does she have a reliable diagnosis for the CAUSE of her pain? It is possible that her doctors have not yet determined the root cause of her discomfort, and, have therefore, not found the proper pain meds for her.

There are, for example, some kinds of anti-anxiety medications that do not, so much, reduce the pain, but alter the patient’s perception of the pain and make him more comfortable. The pain is still there, but it doesn’t “bother” them as much.

Q: Where’s a good place to order good pain medications on line without a prescription??
lortab, oxycotin, vicodin……………… cheap

A: i am in india and we can get all the medications over the counter –no questions asked–no need for a prescription

Q: Buying medication in Mexico?
Im going to mexico in a month and wanted to pick up some pain medication/muscle relaxers. I dont have health insurance here and know I could get stuff cheaper down there. Do I need a perscription from a doctor to get stuff down there? Do they sell generic brands? Anyone know the generic drug of Lortab? Any info would be very helpful!

A: I don’t believe that you need a prescription down there. The generic of Lortab is a combination of two drugs, Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. However, when coming back over the border, it may be taken away from you since you don’t have a legitimate script here in the U.S. Also, I wouldn’t trust drugs from Mexico. I have heard horrow stories. There are some countries that you can trust when it comes to meds, but Mexico isn’t one of them.

Q: I’m suffering horribly from a canker sore! What can I do?
I have a canker sore in the inside of my bottom lip, and it’s so painful. It started out kind of small, but has gotten bigger over the last few days, I’m sure because my teeth and everything rip it open. Talking, moving my mouth in any way, eating, everything..is all very very painful. A while ago, a little bit of pizza sauce touched it and it hasn’t stopped hurting since. I can’t stand it, if it gets touched in any way I start crying because of the pain..
Please, I need a good way to relieve the pain! Any cheap medication or anything would be fine, I need something that’ll definitely work though.
help?
thanks;

Q: Back pains, am i likely to get a prescription for pain killers?
I was in an car accident a year ago and I have had back pains after that, long story short, I saw a chiropractor, he x-rayed my body and my back was croaked and was in pain. I was in physical therapy for over 3 weeks and he had to straighten out my back. Well today I still suffer back pains sometimes. Because chiropractors are not able to prescribe pain medications, is it possible for me to take my paperwork to a family doctor and them give me medicine for the pain? I also called in to a private physicians clinic where I’ve never been to and they said that the visit would be 25 dollars, well would they have to x-ray my body again add more fees since if I’m bringing medical history of my certified chiropractor? I ask this because a friend gave me a lortabs once and it helped my back pains significantly compared to tylenol and advil, what the chances that he will prescribe me pain killers? Sorry If i sound cheap but I’m a college student. Thanks for the help
No it wasn’t my fault, and in the past my lawyers did sue the other persons insurance company and we won a small sum of money, but that case is closed now

A: You may be able to get pain medication on a short term basis, but the doctor is going to require new x-rays and possibly send you to see a specialist. Was the car accident your fault? If not, why isn’t the other party’s insurance covering your medical expenses? If it was your fault, did you have medical payments on your policy? If so, you should start submitting bills for the doctor appointments so you can get them paid. you could also look into Medicaid and see if you qualify. It is based on income and whether or not you have access to insurance through another source like work or your parents.
